  The 4th house, an Angular house, is the house of Home and is naturally associated with the Feminine Cancer, a Cardinal Water sign, and its ruler is the Motherly Moon.  My Moon is placed in the 9th house and in the sign of Aquarius, a Fixed Air sign, where Uranus and Saturn co-rule.

     The 4th house of the chart is my base of operation; in a material sense, my home or homes. More appropriately, in a more spiritual sense, this house relates to my soul. Psychological roots, including family or racial traditions, are among the affairs of this house. It is associated with real estate and property; my home and my security.

Leo in the 4th House explained...

  Leo is naturally associated with the Masculine, is a Fixed Fire sign, and its ruler is the Fatherly Sun.  My Sun is placed in the 6th house and in the sign of Scorpio, a Fixed Water sign, where Pluto and Aries co-rule.

     The Leo influence in the 4th house places a significant emphasis on the idea of home. Pride and ego characterize my attitude toward my home and family. I desire a home to be a castle for entertaining in grand fashion. I have inner ownership and I want it to be a show place.

  Owning a piece of land would give me a sense of self-worth. If where I live is not a reflection of my ego, it's likely my self-image is being challenged for some reason which ends soon enough. Persons with Leo on the cusp of the 4th house are apt to be the one that "rules the roost" no matter what or where that roost lies.

  This placement often makes decisions in the family although this can be stepped back from when appropriate or not necessary.

Pluto in the 4th House explained...

  Transcending Pluto naturally co-rules, along with Aggressive Mars, the Feminine Scorpio, a Fixed Water sign, in Feminine Virgo, a Mutable Earth sign whose ruler is the Messenger Mercury.  

     Pluto's place in my chart marks the house in which revolutionary changes often occur - the home. This planet represents me reforming and regenerating. Pluto is a powerful planet and its presence in a house suggests a power struggle may also be found in this house.

  Pluto in the 4th house results in a degree of tension in the home environment and a dominating attitude with family members. Power struggles can develop in this environment. There is a strong and deep-seated attachment to the home or the land. This can sometimes extend me to a serious interest in earth sciences or professions.

     Squares occur when two planets are approximately 90 degrees apart.  Square cause the friction and the hurdles that causes us to grow and become productive.

     The square formed between Pluto and Mars produces a forceful nature.  Often my actions can be described only as reckless.  Yet I am cautious and secretive about my projects, especially as I mature and develop.

     When frustrated, I can become abusive and display much temper.  This aspect suggests that my sexual drive is strong and may not be well controlled at times.

     This is a very physical aspect needing control and channeling.  When I can control my actions this aspect can be positive as it shows a penchant for eliminating, by force, the unacceptable and unnecessary in my life.  I can develop a very focused concentration on progressive issues if I choose.

     Uranus shows that area of my life in which strong urges for individuality and freedom of expression are shown. In this house I should, and do, expect sudden and unexpected changes to occur during my life. Uranus brings radical behavior caused by my actions, the action of others, and/or by circumstances over which I have no control.

  Uranus in the 4th house exerts its erratic behavior in the home and base of operation. This placement shows the possibility of sudden upsets or changes in the home life. There is a tendency to seek a sense of freedom in the home environment; to want to come and go as I please.

  In some ways the living conditions will be different and/or unusual and counter to family traditions.
